Week 0 Bulletin
Mon, 21/07/2008 - 09:49 — Ryan
And we're back! Hurray! It's been a long two weeks, don't you think? Sunny, though. Well, until tonight.
In that time I've mingled with Buddhists, gotten harassed by a pilgrim (seriously!), developed a new appreciation for oranges, and finally came up with a catchy idea for my research paper.
What've you been up to? Promise to fill me in? I've missed you all terribly! (Bit of an addiction this co-op thing.)
As usual, there's a lot happening in Thoughtful Foods land. So let's get to it, the good word:VolunteersWe need people to pack veggies. Please come in droves to help Tonia do her magic Thursday morning. There are floors to sweep, counters to wipe, barrels to wash--heaps to do. Thank you in advance for turning up. Yes, this means you.
New coordinators take over next week! YAY!
EggsEggs have been ordered. If you emailed me last week, your eggs are guaranteed; however, you must pick them up by close Thursday or they become fair game for everyone the following Tuesday. There are a handful of extra eggs available. First come, first served.
The egg schedule is going to be a bit wonky through the next six weeks or so. Please pay attention to the bulletin for real-time egg updates.
VeggiesVeggies are ON! Thank goodness. Glorious winter veggies & amazing citrus abound. Hope you're enjoying them as much as we are. Orders under the door by Wednesday 9:00am, as is tradition. CommunityCommunity Dinner!
(from Chris, Lauren, Ryan, Sandy etc)
It's Community Dinner night at the Marrickville house! This week's theme is Mexican. We're talking black beans & vegan nachos here, lovelies. Trust the American: it's not to be missed. You can also bring your own dish if you're keen.
2 Woodcourt St., Marickville. Monday (as in tonight).
Contact one of the aforementioned lovelies for times & directions.

I have a feeling it's going to be an exciting semester, full of new ideas, new adventures, reinvention and community building. We'll be bridges and brokers and builders of our own destiny; we'll help the Sydney soil blossom life and hope, and maybe some tomatoes as well. Oh yes, it's going to be an awesome spring.
I'll catch you Thursday afternoon at the co-op.
With undying optimism and chili hot chocolate, Meghan
