Good Evening Readers. We had a short break, and now a week back at our studies. Already the end of semester is looming and we have snow on the mountains! Does that mean the ski season is upon us already? So early? Everything is speeding towards us? Or is it us racing forward? So many cookbooks with pages still untested. It's a very quiet week this week so lets all focus on Suzie's lovely food news and then try to get aware about compost. Yes, International Compost Awareness Week is coming up so repeat after me: Save Our Scraps! Save Our Scraps! I think I've told you before how I sneak our compost into our unit's communal garden surroundings. For those that don't have the luxury of soil surrounding their abode, bring your foody refuse to us. Andrew would like to let everyone know that his garden is loving the tasty old compost. Go here for more info on International Compost Awareness Week.

Egg Cartons
From Andrew
Thanks to everyone who responded to our previous call outs for egg cartons, we now have a large excess! This is great! Still bring your old ones in when you have them, but we're not in desperate need anymore.
While we have an abundance of egg cartons, our jar situation is in need of some assistance. Some days there just aren't enough in the shop for people to jar up their own oil, peanut butter, olives and tahini. If you have any just laying around your house which aren't going to be used, please bring them along and we'll be sure to find a loving home for them!
There are some exciting developments with products at your co-op! Thanks to the help of some generous volunteers, we're updating the shop inventory, clearing some old stock and making space for new products.... so expect some new delectable tasties in soon!
*New - Biscuits from bibba baking*
These sugar free treats are from Bibba baking, 3 Sydney women who started baking in response to the dietary intolerances that run in their family. This family run business is dedicated to baking delicious goodies that are health aware, with gluten and vegan options available. This week we are trialing a small run of their biscuits in 3 flavours - date and ginger, chocolate and sultana, and muesli. If you like them, show your support by buying them. As always, any feedback is welcomed by email to orders@thoughtfulfoods.org.au! *Back in stock* Tamari soy sauce, oats, muesli, wholemeal flour.
*Shop Specials* There is still loads of white chocolate available in bulk at cost price (no further discount). Also on the discounts table is curry powder and ground black pepper. These were all past their used by date but are in good condition as far as we can tell.
