Oh Happy May dear Readers. Did anyone dance around a May Pole? What fun things they made us do in primary school. In Germany there is a tradition for guys to put a decorated 'May tree' outside of the house of their 'love'. I was busy trying to put the guilt trip on my boyfriend for my lack of tree but he quickly pointed out that I'd have been against any sort of tree cutting anyway and that surely I wouldn't approve of such unsustainable practices. Ok, point taken. I already seem to be opposed against all other special calendar days because of the consumeristic connotations linked to them all. Why not at the 1st of May to the list too?
And how are we all going with our composting? I hope everyone is going recycled organics mad! Visit http://www.compostweek.com.au for all the action and food-scrap capers happening all over Australia. Tonight I feel like I've aged about 20 years. Self induced aches and pains brought on by a Saturday of wakeboarding. I'm not looking forward to when bending and twisting are things only to be achieved with a great deal of effort and exertion.
Well, in terms of notices, this week is a quiet one. Enjoy the food news and I look forward to updating you all again next week. Chau for now - Joey

PRODUCT NEWS
There was lots of stock delivered in this week but things got a little mixed up with our suppliers so you may not have seen them on the shelves yet. Look out for it this week instead! We've gone nuts - literally- almost every type of nut we store is now freshly restocked, along with our rather extensive range of chocolate coated goodies. !
*Back in Stock*
Peanuts, almonds, tamari almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, pistachios, almond milk, rice milk, chocolate coated goodies (almonds, liquorice, sultanas, coffee beans and cherries), regular liquorice and spelt liquorice.
*Shop Specials* There is still loads of white chocolate available in bulk at cost price (no further discount). Also on the discounts table is curry powder and ground black pepper. These were all past their used by date but are in good condition as far as we can tell.
*Homemade Raw Chocolates*
If you're not already familiar with raw chocolates these are really the pièce de résistance for any chocolate connoisseur. They are vegan and raw foodist friendly and have a rich bittersweet cocoa flavour that have a unique melt-in-the-mouth texture that's different from cooked chocolate. These are made by local, Naomi Bower, who started to make them for friends and family. They are now being sold in the co-op under our cottage industry scheme.
