Hello Readers! Did we all survive the whipping winds from the North!! I think half of poor old Maroubra Beach got blown halfway up the hill. I was already getting perforated eyeballs (or receiving a free facial exfoliation) from high speed sand granules as I battled my way to the surf club before I even got within 100m of the beach. I was headed down there for some yoga, as a result of which I am now suffering of overstretched hamstrings. Or something. Maybe I'm just a wimp.
Apparently it's new moon today. A day for having a hot bath with oils and then wrapping yourself in a blanket and sweating. Or so I was told yesterday by the teacher. I think the closest I got was having a hot shower. Oh, and I probably also satisfied the 'do nothing' criterion seeing as I've remained more or less sedentary infront of my monitor nearly the entire day. Oh what a sad life!

Drums of Steel From Suzie
If you've looked behind the counter at the co-op, you might have noticed that there is quite an accumulation of old olive oil drums. We would love to return them to our supplier in Newcastle, so they can reuse them. But otherwise, any form of recycling or reuse would also be great! If you would like a steel drum or can help out with finding a new home for these drums please let us know , email
orders@thoughtfulfoods.org.au.
PRODUCT NEWS
We are reaching the end of semester, so we've made a special effort to keep all your favourite study snacks in store. Feel free to take a study break and drop by to your co-op to have some nibblies and a chat.
*New This Week*
To bring in the winter risotto season we have now have some organic arborio rice in store. A new shipment of native jams has also arrived, with the exception of rainforest plum products which have just been harvested but not yet preserved. We've ordered a small amount of wild peach chutney and bush tomato relish for you to enjoy instead!
Unfortunately, our supplier for Crawkers and Grawnola are currently moving premises. This means that we won't be able to get any more in for a while. Our co-opers have also gone mad for licorice, it has completely sold out in the 2 weeks since we ordered it so we'll do another order hopefully before the end of semester.
