Semester One Shift vacancies - co-ordinators needed

We're still a few people short for filling up our semester one roster. If you or anyone you know may be interested in taking on a weekly, 4.5 hour shop shift as a co-op co-ordinator, please email Andrew for more information. It may appear daunting at first, but coordinating is quite a rewarding and fun experience!

The following shift times are currently vacant:

Tuesday 12.30pm - 5.30pm

Wednesday 9.45am - 2.00pm

Wednesday 1.30pm - 5.30pm

Volunteers needed for O-week

O-week is coming up soon (20th-25th Feb) and we’re looking for lots of vollies to help us spread the word about the co-op.

We’ll be running a stall on the main uni walkway, and making smoothies with an amazing bicycle-powered blender! We also need to keep the shop open so that means lots of helpers are needed! Each two hour shift earns you a 40% discount on most items in the shop as well as that warm and fuzzy feeling of being an active part of making your co-op happen. We need volunteers from 9.30-5 Monday through Thursday that week. If you can help at the stall for an hour or two (or more!) on any day, send an email to Hazel.

We’d also love to hear from you if you can help us with the preparations and promo stuff in the run-up to O week.

Regular volunteer shifts during semester

During semester there are times when co-ordinators are run off their feet, and times when the shop is a so quiet you'd be able to hear a cranberry drop (except that we have our wonderful dysfunctional radio to keep us company.)

We would love extra volunteers on Thursdays, particularly in the morning to help with packing the veggie boxes. Every second Wednesday morning orders arrive at the co-op, and there are boxes to unload and shelves to stack. At other times the shop is quieter, but there is always restocking, labeling, cleaning and gardening to do. Generally volunteers are very much appreciated around closing time to help with cleaning up the shop and bringing everything inside.
